Isaiah Rodgers Sets NFL Record
Isaiah Rodgers is having the game of his professional life at U.S. Bank Stadium this afternoon, as he’s probably already sewn up NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors, and has set an NFL record in the process.
Rodgers is the first player to score both a pick-six and a fumble recovery touchdown since Samson Ebukam of the Rams did it in 2018, helping his team beat the Chiefs 54-51 in one of the craziest games in NFL history.
MINNEAPOLIS — Isaiah Rodgers helped make Carson Wentz’s debut as Minnesota Vikings quarterback a rousing success, setting a team record with two defensive touchdowns and forcing three of the Cincinnati Bengals’ five turnovers in a 48-10 romp Sunday for the worst loss in Bengals history.
The Cincinnati Bengals ' three fumbles on four snaps late in the second quarter, including two forced by Minnesota Vikings defensive back Isaiah Rodgers, helped increase the team's deficit to 34-3 at halftime of their NFL Week 3 game at U.S. Bank Stadium.
After the Eagles traded Pickett for a fifth-round pick and Dorian Thompson-Robinson (who they cut), the QB-rich Browns traded Pickett to the Raiders to recoup that fifth-rounder. He's Geno Smith's backup there.
Just by taking the first snap for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Carson Wentz will be a record breaker. No NFL quarterback has ever started for this many teams in consecutive seasons as Wentz will have after his Week 3 start with J.
