The lucky ticket was sold at the Publix grocery store on McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers, a roughly 130-mile drive south from Tampa. The winner spent $3 on a Quick Pick ticket, meaning a lottery machine randomly chose at least some of the numbers, the Florida Lottery wrote on its website and in a news release.

Fort Myers is located on Florida's west coast, about 100 miles south of Tampa or 110 miles west of West Palm Beach. The estimated Powerball jackpot for the next drawing on Wednesday, Sept. 17, is $81 million. Cash value is $37.9 million. On Sept. 6, two tickets matched one of the largest jackpots of all time: $1.787 billion.
