Snail slime is a popular ingredient in some beauty products from South Korea. It contains elastin and collagen, and some even claim it has anti-aging properties.
Soap slime, aka that gross layer of soap that accumulates underneath a bar of soap after you set it down, is one of life's minor annoyances, but an annoyance nonetheless.
Snails also naturally use their slime to repair their shells if damaged, he said. Desrocher said he aimed to produce 3,000 snail slime soap bars in his first year of production.
