Noah Hawley talks episode five, "In Space, No One...", which stages an 'Alien' mini-movie and explains that (perhaps controversial?) twist: "It escalates in a way that ends up feeling a little crazy."

As played by British actor Babou Ceesay, Morrow has to this point been something of a cipher: We know that he was piloting the research vessel Maginot when it crash-landed on our planet, and that he is an enhanced human being — a cyborg — but little more than that.

That’s because the spacecraft that ultimately crashes on earth is a virtual carbon copy of the Nostromo, the ship flown by Ridley (Sigourney Weaver) and her crew in the 1979 film from Ridley Scott. The episode’s name — “in Space, No One…” — is even inspired by Alien ‘s old tagline “In space, no one can hear you scream.”
