Miss Universe exec Nawat Itsaragrisil dismissed from pageant after Miss Mexico confrontation
Miss Universe executive Nawat Itsaragrisil has been dismissed from this year’s pageant following his shocking confrontation with Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch earlier this week. Raúl Rocha, the president of Miss Universe, announced the decision as well as several additional sanctions against Itsaragrisil, 60, in a subtitled video shared to social media.
A Miss Universe executive singled out and criticized one contestant at an event in Thailand, causing an international controversy after the video went viral.
Fátima Bosch of Tabasco — was publicly insulted by a top Thai pageant official two weeks before the Nov. 21 final.
Miss Universe President Raul Rocha Cantu addressed the controversy surrounding the treatment of Miss Universe Mexico ahead of the annual pageant.
