In the aftermath of the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! by Disney-owned ABC, She-Hulk herself is speaking out. Tatiana Maslany, star of Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, which aired on Disney+, is urging people to cancel their subscriptions to Disney services.
Maslany, who plays the titular role in Disney+’s She-Hulk, encouraged more than half a million followers to cancel their subscriptions to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN in a September 18 Instagram Story.
Kimmel, whose late-night talk show has run for nearly 24 seasons since its January 2003 debut, was pulled off the air on Monday, September 15 for comments he made about political activist Charlie Kirk. The outspoken conservative was assassinated during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10.
Barclays estimated ESPN’s affiliate revenue at $13 per subscriber per month, rising 7% annually for the next three years and 5% thereafter. Including advertising, current revenue from linear subscribers is about $19 to $20 per month, according to the report.
